Canada Foreign Policy

  Hello Everyone,

I should be back in about 3 weeks. Meantime, keep watching the "rift" between PM Harper and General Rick Hillier. I suspect the general won't be "replaced" any time soon...at least not until well after the next election.

Happy Halloween,

  Greetings!

Even with a new foreign minister and MacKay in Defence, not all that much new or of note is going on. I suspect it'll be same old same old for some time. I'm off, and away from the desk for the next 6-8 weeks...Will catch up later. Have a great summer (what's left) and early fall.

  The cabinet shuffle:

O'Connor is bumped down, and MacKay goes to Defence. But with no shuffle in the PMO, will this new cabinet provide for a new or different government?
